Location: About 5 miles northwest of Lowell along Jasper-Lowell Road
Latest: Sparks from a vehicle ignited four fires, threatening several structures. The fires were brought under control within a few hours. (See story.)
Lorane Highway vegetation fire
Started: July 5, 2026
Status: Extinguished
Location: About 5 miles southwest of Eugene along Lorane Highway
Size: 5.5 acres
Latest: Response from multiple agencies including Oregon Department of Forestry Western Lane District, Lane Fire Authority, and South Lane Fire and Rescue. ODF sent two water tenders, one Type 4 engine and one Type 6 engine.
