Restaurant inspections

County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports both those who have passed the inspections and those where the county observed issues to correct. The county’s full ongoing reports can be accessed here.

  • Dave’s Hot Chicken at 1572 Mohawk Blvd., passed a county health inspection on Sept. 1 with no issues. (view report)
     

Community crime report

  • A missing person was reported near 1460 G St., Springfield at 7 p.m. on Sept. 15.
     
  • A report about a missing person was made near 3752 International Ct, Springfield at 11 a.m. on Sept. 15.
     
  • Police are looking for someone after a report was made. The incident happened near 875 7th St., Springfield. It was reported at 11 a.m. on Sept. 15.
     
  • A stalking order was violated near the 2000 block of Harbor Dr at 10 a.m. on Sept. 15.
     
  • A menacing incident happened near 2000 Marcola Rd, Springfield at 10 a.m. on Sept. 15.
     

Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • Long-term projects: Construction is happening on 36th Street between Main Street and Commercial Avenue as part of the GO Bond Street Repair Project. Work started the week of April 27 and is expected to finish by September 30. Local residents can still get to their homes, but there will be temporary lane and driveway closures, no parking zones, and possible changes to travel routes. You may notice construction noise, dust, and heavy equipment. Advance notice will be given before any closures.
  • Construction on Aspen Street between Centennial Boulevard and Tamarack Street will start the week of June 15 as part of the GO Bond Street Repair Project. Most of the work should be done by September 4, with the whole project finished by October 31. Local access to homes will be maintained, but there will be temporary lane and driveway closures and no parking zones. Expect changes to travel routes, construction noise, dust, and heavy equipment. Advance notice will be given before any closures.
