Restaurant inspections

County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports both those who have passed the inspections and those where the county observed issues to correct. The county’s full ongoing reports can be accessed here.

  • Sharky’s Pub at 4221 Main St., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on Oct. 18. The restaurant scored 90 out of 100. The inspector found that the kitchen dishwasher was not properly dispensing chlorine sanitizer, which is necessary to kill germs on dishes. Despite testing and reinspection, the machine still failed to provide the required chlorine concentration between 50-100 ppm. The restaurant must fix this immediately and cannot rely on the dishwasher to sanitize dishes until it meets the standards. (view report)
