A 40-year-old Bend man has been arrested after police say he sent inappropriate photos and attempted to meet someone he thought was a Eugene teenager under 16 years old, but who was actually a police detective.
Adrian Lopez was charged Monday, Nov. 2, in Lane County Circuit Court with first-degree online sexual corruption of a child as well as two counts of luring a minor.
Eugene police arrested him Friday, Oct. 30, according to a police news release.
Police allege Lopez began communicating with the person he thought was a teen girl in August of last year, asking to impregnate and marry her.
In the news release, police allege Lopez this year arranged an August camping trip “but backed out.” Lopez is alleged to have sent as many as 27 inappropriate photos at one time.
