We checked with local police and there were no new incidents to report.


Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • Long-term projects: – Construction is happening near the corners of 18th and Hilyard Street this week. Expect moderate delays as lanes may be reduced to one.
  • Major construction is taking place at Columbia Street and East 17th Avenue from Monday through Friday this week. This work will affect parts of East 17th Avenue, Columbia Street, Columbia Alley, and nearby streets, with detours for vehicles, pedestrians, and bikes. Construction will continue in the area through summer 2027.
  • Crews are working on Patterson Street between East 18th Avenue and East 24th Avenue this week to fix minor issues. Traffic disruptions may be minimal, but most traffic control is being removed.
  • Sidewalk repairs are happening at 1695 Agate Street and East 17th Avenue from Monday through Friday this week, between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The sidewalk will be closed, but no traffic delays are expected.
