Community crime report

  • A car crash with injuries happened near Gonyea Rd at 5 p.m. on Oct. 6.
     
  • A threat and harassment incident happened near the 4000 block of E 30th on Oct. 6 at 2 p.m.
     
  • A reckless driving incident happened near E 30th Ave. at 11 a.m. on Oct. 6.
     
  • Police responded to a report of trespassing and illegal camping near Woodson St. at 1 p.m. on Oct. 6.
     

Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • Long-term projects: – Construction is happening near 18th and Hilyard Street this week. Expect moderate delays as lanes may be reduced to one lane.
  • Construction continues in the parking lot at Willamette Street and West 52nd Avenue this week, causing some minor disruptions.
  • This week, construction at W 30th Ave and Portland St will close on-street parking on the west side of Portland St from W 30th Ave to W 29th Pl, and some parking north of W 29th Pl to W 28th Ave. Pedestrians cannot use the west side of Portland St between W 30th Ave and W 29th Pl and should use the temporary ramp and sidewalk on the east side.
  • Paving work on McLean Blvd. is ongoing. Striping will finish by Friday, October 2, and road closures will end that day. Starting Monday, flaggers will manage traffic for concrete sidewalk repairs, but the road will stay open. Sidewalk work should finish the week of October 12.
  • Paving will take place this week on Vine Maple Street, Spring Boulevard, Pine Canyon Drive, Huckleberry Street, and South Ridge Drive, including nearby sidewalks. Expect delays as roads may be reduced to one lane or temporarily closed.
  • Construction for the 100 Year Wastewater Pipe Rehabilitation is happening this week. Access to Ferry Alley between E 18th Ave and E 19th Ave will be limited on October 5 and 6. W 6th Alley between Blair Blvd and Van Buren St will be closed to through traffic today. Access to Crest Dr from Willamette St is closed, with a detour via W 35th Ave.
  • Crews are working on Patterson Street between E 18th Ave and E 24th Ave this week to fix minor issues. New striping and signs are in place, and traffic control is being removed, but barricades remain. Any disruptions will be minimal.
