- A person was arrested after a dispute near 2700 Hilyard St., Eugene at 10 a.m. on Sept. 16.

Roadwork is affecting traffic near you
- Long-term projects: Construction is happening near the corners of 18th and Hilyard Street this week. Expect delays and possible lane reductions to a single lane.
- Construction at the Willamette Street and W 52nd Avenue parking lot is nearly complete, but some work will continue this week.
- On Portland Street from W 30th Ave to W 28th Ave, on-street parking on the west side is closed during construction. The west side sidewalk between W 30th Ave and W 29th Pl is closed, but pedestrians can use a temporary sidewalk on the east side. There is also a temporary walkway on the north side of W 30th Ave for pedestrians west of Portland St.
- McLean Boulevard has finished paving, but utility work continues this week. Two traffic detours are in place: one reroutes through traffic from before Graham Drive to Lasater, Randy, 29th, then back to McKendrick Street and McLean Boulevard; the other detour routes Graham Drive traffic to Chambers Street via 28th Street. All detours are expected to be removed after Friday.
- Paving work is happening this week on Vine Maple Street, Spring Boulevard, Pine Canyon Drive, Huckleberry Street, and South Ridge Drive, including nearby sidewalks. Roads may be narrowed to one lane or temporarily closed.
- Wastewater pipe rehabilitation is happening at E 23rd and E 24th Avenue between Willamette Street and Amazon Parkway this week. Some work is also on Willamette Street. Southbound traffic on Willamette just south of 24th Avenue will be shifted into the center lane. The sidewalk on the southwest corner of Willamette and 24th Avenue is closed, with signs for pedestrians.
- On Patterson Street between E 18th Ave and E 24th Ave, crews are removing old road markings and starting to install new ones this week. Traffic will be reduced to one lane on the side opposite the work area.
