Restaurant inspections
County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports both those who have passed the inspections and those where the county observed issues to correct. The county’s full ongoing reports can be accessed here.
- Tucky’s at 5390 Main St., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on October 22. The restaurant scored 90 out of 100. Inspectors found that water inlet and outlet pipes lacked proper protective covers, which must be added. The sanitizer bucket initially had no chlorine, but a correct 50 ppm solution was prepared during the inspection. The chlorine bleach used had an unapproved scent and must be replaced with a proper food-safe product. Some utensil handles were damaged and not easy to clean, so they were replaced. A handwash sink was dripping and needs repair. Lastly, there was dirt buildup under a sink that must be cleaned regularly to maintain cleanliness. (view report)
