A kayaker on the Willamette River on Tuesday, May 19, discovered the body of a man later identified as a 62-year-old Junction City resident, the Benton County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.
Wade Felton Lloyd had been reported missing Nov. 20 to Junction City police. His cause of death remains under investigation, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies responded at about 2:10 p.m. after the kayaker found Lloyd’s body along the river’s west bank near river mile 159, north of Harrisburg. Investigators identified Lloyd through tattoos on the body, the sheriff’s office said.
