End the chaos, Lane County!

With the deluge of bad news flowing out of the Lane County Board of Commissioners lately, it can be hard to remember that there are other commissioners than David Loveall. This year provides an opportunity for the dysfunction of the current board to end. Beyond Loveall, there are the people who enable him, with two others running this year.

Commissioner Ryan Ceniga has been a steadfast ally of Loveall, regardless of the circumstances, and is up for re-election this year as well.

Loveall’s buddy, Jake Pelroy, is challenging Commissioner Heather Buch for her seat as well. Pelroy helped Loveall get elected in the first place, donating time and money during the last election to help with his campaign. How can you be an objective voice when you give so much support to our most infamous local official? And do we need more of this chaos?

Lane County voters have to decide this fall, do we want to continue with this insanity, or elect a board focused on our issues? And if you want to do the latter, electing Sean VanGordon and reelecting Buch are the first steps to ending the chaos.
