Sean VanGordon cares. He cares about the Springfield area and the individuals, families and businesses who make up the community. And because he cares, no matter who you are, he listens.

Sean and I served together on the Springfield City Council starting in 2011. The last two years I served, 2021 and 2022, he began serving as Springfield mayor. We didn’t always agree, but there are certain qualities in Sean — his humility, his honesty, his diligence, his responsiveness, his social intelligence. He always gave me respect and heard my point of view. Sean believes in people and enjoys problem solving. Coupled with his sense of humor, his ease of collaboration produces results.

It’s important for elected officials to feel comfortable having conversations with others. With Sean you can speak your mind, and he will remember. He uses what he remembers and, when appropriate, applies it to policies that are oriented to the betterment of the community. Sean is an optimist and truly believes in a positive, family-oriented, economically vital future for our Springfield community.

I’m voting for Sean VanGordon for Lane County Commissioner. Join me in that vote.
