With midterm elections right around the corner, it’s important for all of us in Oregon’s Fourth Congressional District to learn the stances of the candidates and be ready to vote for a candidate who protects our rights. This includes the right to make decisions regarding healthcare and childbearing. Val Hoyle is the candidate who we can trust to do that.
Hoyle understands the importance of funding for health education, cancer screenings, birth control and general reproductive healthcare often for those who lack access to other care — either because of where they live or because they lack the resources to pay. Planned Parenthood is one of those groups. The Trump administration sought to remove all funding support to Planned Parenthood because some of their clinics provide abortions.
Hoyle believes that healthcare decisions should be made by each of us in consultation with our doctors and healthcare professionals, not by legislators who wish to impose their personal beliefs on our bodies and on our families.
Hoyle’s opponent is supported by groups who wish to limit our ability to make medical decisions based on their own personal or political beliefs, rather than allowing women and families to make decisions based on their own needs. Hoyle’s opponent supports a president who would take away our right to decide.
Please join me in voting for Val Hoyle to protect and defend the rights of our daughters, granddaughters, nieces and all families to make healthcare decisions without government interference.
