Restaurant inspections
County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports both those who have passed the inspections and those where the county observed issues to correct. The county’s full ongoing reports can be accessed here.
- Pour House Tavern, The at 444 42nd St., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on February 24. The restaurant scored 92 out of 100. Inspectors found some refrigerated foods were kept too long and not properly date-marked, but these were discarded during the visit. The menu’s consumer advisory about raw or undercooked foods needs updated wording and will be corrected before the next inspection. Some refrigerators lacked proper thermometers, unlabeled food containers were found, and a food worker wore unauthorized jewelry. Scoops without handles were used improperly, and some areas had dirt buildup. The kitchen had chipped paint, unfinished walls, and inadequate lighting in the walk-in refrigerator, all needing repair and improvement. (view report)
- Riverbend Coffee at 400 International Way, passed a county health inspection on February 24 with no issues. (view report)

Note on today’s report: Some of the incidents listed are not recent. This can happen for a couple of reasons: Delays in agency reporting — sometimes officials don’t file reports right away, or agencies release batches of reports weeks later. Delays in public complaints — people may not notice or decide to contact police until some time after an incident. Please contact the responsible law-enforcement agency or your local elected officials if you have concerns about their delay in releasing information.
