Restaurant inspections

County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports both those who have passed the inspections and those where the county observed issues to correct. The county’s full ongoing reports can be accessed here.

  • Ranchito Grill at 1537 Mohawk Blvd., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on December 22. The restaurant scored 97 out of 100. The inspector found employees drinking coffee and water in food prep areas without proper lids, and cookies stored above dry food bins, risking contamination. The coffee was thrown away, the water was covered and moved, and the cookies were relocated to prevent spills from contaminating food. Employees were reminded to only eat or drink in designated areas using covered containers. All issues were corrected immediately. (view report)
