  • Shots were fired near the 1500 block of Cottonwood Ave. at 10 p.m. on Sept. 28.
     
  • An assault happened near the 1700 block of Concord Ave. at 7 p.m. on Sept. 25.
     
  • A burglary was reported near 887 Oakdale Ave., Springfield, at 7 p.m. on Sept. 25.
     
  • A stalking order was violated near the 3500 block of Valentine Ct. at 6 p.m. on Sept. 28.
     
  • A hit-and-run traffic crash happened near the 4400 block of Franklin Blvd. at 4 p.m. on Sept. 28.
     

Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • Long-term projects: Construction is happening on 36th Street between Main Street and Commercial Avenue as part of the GO Bond Street Repair Project. Work is expected to finish by September 30. Residents can still get to their homes, but there will be temporary lane and driveway closures, no parking zones, and possible changes to travel routes. You may notice construction noise, dust, and heavy equipment. Advance notice will be given before any closures.
  • Construction on Aspen Street from Centennial Boulevard to Tamarack Street started the week of June 15. Most of the work should be done by September 4, with the whole project finished by October 31. Residents will still have access to their homes, but there will be temporary lane and driveway closures and no parking zones. Expect changes to travel routes, construction noise, dust, and heavy equipment. Advance notice will be given before any closures.
