- Ocean Garden Ramen & Pho Chinese Restaurant at 1835 Pioneer Pkwy E, was cited for issues during a county health inspection on Aug. 31. The restaurant scored 97 out of 100. Inspectors found wooden shelves near the mop sink and in the kitchen that needed to be sealed or finished to be easier to clean; the shelf near the mop sink was removed and kitchen shelves painted. They also noted the dishwasher lacked test strips to check sanitizer strength, which were then provided. Lastly, the restroom door was not self-closing but now has a self-closing mechanism installed. Roadwork is affecting traffic near you
- Long-term projects: Construction is happening on 36th Street between Main Street and Commercial Avenue as part of the GO Bond Street Repair Project. Work started the week of April 27 and is expected to finish by September 30.
