- Giant Burger at 3760 Main St., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on December 18. The restaurant scored 73 out of 100 due to several issues. There was no designated person in charge at all times, employees ate and stored personal food improperly, and handwashing sinks were misused. Raw eggs were stored above ready-to-eat foods but were corrected. The dishwasher sanitizer was initially too weak but fixed during inspection. The menu lacked proper warnings about undercooked foods. Toxic materials and rodent bait were improperly stored but corrected. Clean items were stored on the floor, and equipment and facility areas had dirt, food residue, and clutter that need regular cleaning and removal. (view report)

The inspector found that an employee handwashing sink was being used improperly, with ice stored in it, making it inaccessible for handwashing. The restaurant was required to fix this immediately by keeping the sink available only for handwashing. The person in charge will provide ongoing staff training to ensure sinks are used correctly.
