  • A missing person was reported near 3333 Riverbend Dr, Springfield, at 10 p.m. on Aug. 19.
     
  • A vehicle hit a pedestrian near 1300 Main St., Springfield, at 11 a.m. on Aug. 19.
      
  • There was a reported fourth-degree assault near 2800 Gateway St., Springfield, at 9 p.m. on Aug. 19.
     

Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • Long-term projects: Construction is happening on 36th Street between Main Street and Commercial Avenue as part of the GO Bond Street Repair Project. Work started the week of April 27 and is expected to finish by September 30. Local residents can still get to their homes, but there will be temporary lane and driveway closures, no parking zones, and possible changes to travel routes. There may also be construction noise, dust, and heavy equipment. Residents will get advance notice before any closures.
  • Construction on Aspen Street between Centennial Boulevard and Tamarack Street will start the week of June 15, and most of the work should be finished by September 4, before school starts. The whole project should be done by October 31. Local access to homes will remain open, but there will be temporary lane and driveway closures, no-parking zones, and possible changes to travel routes. Expect construction noise, dust, and heavy equipment. Advance notice will be given before any closures.
