Restaurant inspections

County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports both those who have passed the inspections and those where the county observed issues to correct. The county’s full ongoing reports can be accessed here.

  • Five Guys Burger And Fries at 3266 Gateway St., passed a county health inspection on March 22 with no issues. (view report)
     
  • Kentucky Fried Chicken at 3230 Gateway St., passed a county health inspection on March 22 with no issues. (view report)
     
  • Sacred Heart Medical Ctr – Riverbend at 3333 Riverbend Dr, passed a county health inspection on April 1 with no issues. (view report)
     
  • Jimmy Johns #1483 at 3336 Gateway St., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on April 1. The restaurant received a score of 97 out of 100. The inspector found that the test strips used to measure sanitizer strength were discolored and not reliable. The restaurant was required to immediately provide accurate, unexpired test strips and keep them dry and away from steam. This was a repeat issue. The restaurant corrected the problem by providing proper test strips, and the violation was resolved during a follow-up inspection. (view report)

  • Police arrested someone for assault near 317 30th St., Springfield at 8 p.m. on April 18.
     
  • A driver was involved in a car crash and was suspected of driving under the influence. The incident happened near Greenvale Dr at 6 p.m. on April 18.
     
  • Police arrested someone after a chase near 3203 Oregon Ave., Springfield on April 19 at 11 a.m.
     
  • A disturbance involving threats happened near the 1700 block of Concord Ave. at midnight on April 20.
     
  • A threat and harassment incident happened near the 89200 block of Old Mohawk Rd at 2 p.m. on April 18.
