Restaurant inspections

County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports both those who have passed the inspections and those where the county observed issues to correct. The county’s full ongoing reports can be accessed here.

  • M24 Sushi at 4425 Main St., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on Oct. 1. The restaurant scored 92 out of 100. Inspectors found that invoices for the raw fish used in sushi were not kept as required, but this was corrected by Oct. 2, with proper records now maintained for at least 90 days. Additionally, the sushi rice was kept at unsafe temperatures for too long without proper time tracking or a health control plan. This issue was also resolved by Oct. 2, after the restaurant submitted an approved time-as-a-public-health-control plan and now properly monitors the rice temperature to ensure food safety. • Dutch Bros Coffee at 4211 Main St., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on Oct. 1. The restaurant scored 92 out of 100. The inspector found a handwashing sink being used improperly to rinse a towel, which was corrected immediately. Some residue was found on the ice machine’s food-contact surfaces, requiring more frequent cleaning. The dishwasher was not dispensing chlorine sanitizer properly, which needed immediate fixing to ensure proper sanitizing. Additionally, there were at least six flies in the kitchen, and the restaurant was instructed to keep the area free of pests by regular inspections and cleaning. All issues were addressed or explained during the inspection. (view report)
