Community crime report

  • A person was stopped and arrested near W 6th Ave. and Tyler St. in Eugene at 11 p.m. on August 5.
     
  • A car crash happened near Green Hill Rd at 10 p.m. on July 29. It is not known if anyone was hurt.
     
  • A person was arrested for disorderly conduct near 450 Hwy 99N in Eugene at 7 a.m. on August 5.
     
  • A person was arrested for disorderly conduct near 3110 W 11th Ave., Eugene, at 8 a.m. on August 5.
     
  • A person was arrested for criminal trespass near 2370 W 11th Ave., Eugene at 1 a.m. on July 30.
     

Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • Long-term projects: – Prairie Road will be closed from Highway 99 to Maxwell Road from August 21 to about September 18 for railroad crossing replacement. Use detours via Irving Road, Beltline, or Chambers Road. Construction crews will not be on site the week of August 3 while railroad contractors prepare for the work.
  • During the week of August 3, crews will finish work at the Prairie Mountain School Crossing by installing signs, electrical systems, and lighting. The project is almost done. Expect large trucks, construction equipment, and workers in the area. Traffic cones and signs will guide traffic, and pedestrians should follow detours around closed ramps.
  • Danebo Avenue between 11th and Royal Avenue will have crack sealing work from Thursday, July 30 to today. Traffic control signs are in place, and drivers may experience delays of 5 to 10 minutes.
