Community crime report

  • A theft from a vehicle was reported at 1 a.m. on June 27 near 2700 Hilyard St., Eugene.
     
  • A report of criminal mischief was taken near 1848 Hilyard St. in Eugene at 1 a.m. on June 27.
     
  • A theft from a vehicle was reported at 9 p.m. on June 26 near 2754 Oak St., Eugene.
     
  • A person was reported to be nude around 8 p.m. on June 26 near the 31500 block of Fox Hollow Rd.
     
  • A report was taken for assisting an outside agency near 1375 E 43rd Ave., Eugene, at 8 p.m. on June 26.
     
  • There was a disturbance involving a violation of a county ordinance near the 86600 block of Franklin Blvd. at 5 p.m. on June 26.
     
  • There was a non-criminal incident involving suspicious conditions at 3 p.m. on June 26 near 3225 Donald St., Eugene.
     
  • An injured animal was reported near the 400 block of E 30th at 8 a.m. on June 26.
     
  • A person was arrested for a motor vehicle injury incident near W 24th Ave. & Olive St. in Eugene. This happened at midnight on June 26.
     

Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • Road construction is taking place on Interstate 5, 2 miles south of the McKenzie Highway intersection, causing minimal traffic delays. Drivers should be cautious and watch for workers. The work includes striping the northbound and southbound “B” lanes and will involve short closures (1-2 hours) of on and off ramps at Exit 191 (Glenwood Blvd.) and Exit 189 (McVay/30th Ave.). One northbound lane is affected. The construction started on June 30.
     
  • Road maintenance is taking place on I-105 at the intersection with Pacific Highway Interstate 5 to ORE126, including ramps in both directions, from June 22 to June 27. Work will occur nightly from 9 P.M. to 5:30 A.M., causing minimal traffic delays. Drivers should slow down and be cautious of workers on the road.
