Community crime report
- An injured animal was reported near E 30th Ave. at 8 p.m. on Sept. 21.
- A theft was reported near 3800 Westleigh St., Eugene at 11 a.m. on Sept. 21.
- A suspicious situation was reported near the 86600 block of Franklin Blvd. at 9 a.m. on Sept. 21.

Roadwork is affecting traffic near you
- Long-term projects: Construction is happening near the corners of 18th and Hilyard Street this week. Expect delays and possible lane reductions to a single lane.
- Construction work continues in the parking lot at Willamette Street and West 52nd Avenue this week, but activity is limited as the project is almost done.
- On Portland Street from W 30th Ave to W 28th Ave, on-street parking is closed on the west side and some areas north of W 29th Pl during construction. The west side sidewalk of Portland St between W 30th Ave and W 29th Pl is closed to pedestrians, but a temporary sidewalk and ramp are available on the east side.
- Final paving on McLean Boulevard is scheduled for Monday. Until the closure ends that day, two detours are in place: one reroutes traffic from before Graham Drive through Lasater, Randy, and 29th streets back to McKendrick Street and McLean Boulevard; the other directs Graham Drive traffic to Chambers Street via 28th Street. After paving, crews will work on utility adjustments and sidewalk repairs for the rest of the week, with flaggers directing traffic.
- Paving work is happening this week on Vine Maple Street, Spring Boulevard, Pine Canyon Drive, Huckleberry Street, and South Ridge Drive, including nearby sidewalks. Expect moderate delays, lane reductions, or temporary closures.
- Construction for the 100 Year Wastewater Pipe Rehabilitation is happening this week at several locations: E 4th Ave (between High and Mill St), W 7th Alley (east of Van Buren St), W 6th Alley (west side of Blair Blvd), and E 24th Ave (between Willamette St and Amazon Parkway). The north side sidewalk of E 4th Ave between High St and Mill St is closed today. A lane shift will occur on Van Buren St between W 7th Ave and W 8th Ave at W 7th Alley today. Access to W 6th Alley between Van Buren St and Blair Blvd will be closed on September 23. Another lane shift will happen on E 23rd Ave between Willamette St and Amazon Parkway on September 24. Overall, traffic impact is low.
- Construction crews are working on Patterson Street between E 18th Ave and E 24th Ave this week. Old road striping is being removed and new striping will be installed later in the week. Traffic will be reduced to one lane on the side opposite the work area.
