Roadwork is affecting traffic near you
- Long-term projects: – Construction is happening near the corners of 18th and Hilyard Street this week. Expect delays and possible lane reductions to a single lane.
- Construction is taking place in the parking lot at Willamette Street and W 52nd Avenue this week. Expect heavy equipment moving in and out of the area.
- From Monday through Friday this week, parking will be closed on the west side of Portland Street between W 30th Avenue and W 29th Place, as well as parts of the parking area north of W 29th Place to W 28th Avenue. The west side sidewalk of Portland Street between W 30th Avenue and W 29th Place will also be closed. Pedestrians should use the temporary ramp and sidewalk on the east side of Portland Street.
- McLean Boulevard will be closed for paving this week. Detours are in place until paving is finished on Saturday. One detour routes traffic before Graham Drive through Lasater, Randy, and 29th streets back to McKendrick Street and McLean Boulevard. The other detour goes from Graham Drive to Chambers Street via 28th Street. Detours will be removed once paving is complete.
- Construction work is happening on Vine Maple Street, Spring Boulevard, Pine Canyon Drive, Huckleberry Street, and South Ridge Drive, including nearby sidewalks, this week. Expect moderate delays, lane reductions, or temporary closures.
- During this week, crews are working on paving and finishing touches on Hilyard Street (from 40th to 34th Avenue), Friendly Street and the 18th area, 24th Avenue (from Hilyard to Agate), and Alder Street (from 30th to 32nd). Expect minor traffic impacts.
- Construction is taking place at South Eugene High School this week to rehabilitate a 100-year-old wastewater pipe. Some sidewalks, parking spaces, and lawn areas on campus may be closed. Eastbound traffic on E 19th Avenue near Mill Street may be closed, with a detour available via E 18th Avenue.
