Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • Long-term projects: Construction is happening near the corners of 18th and Hilyard Street this week. Lanes may be reduced to a single lane, so expect some delays.
  • Construction at the Willamette Street and W 52nd Avenue parking lot is almost finished, with only limited work happening this week.
  • On Portland Street from W 30th Avenue to W 28th Avenue, parking is restricted on the west side during construction. The west sidewalk between W 30th Avenue and W 29th Place is closed, but pedestrians can use a temporary sidewalk and ramp on the east side. There is also a temporary walkway on the north side of W 30th Avenue for pedestrians west of Portland Street.
  • Final paving on McLean Boulevard is scheduled for Monday. Until the closure ends that day, two detours are in place: one reroutes traffic from before Graham Drive through Lasater, Randy, and 29th streets back to McKendrick Street and McLean Boulevard; the other directs Graham Drive traffic to Chambers Street via 28th Street. After paving is done, crews will work on utility adjustments and sidewalk repairs, with flaggers directing traffic.
  • Paving work is happening this week on Vine Maple Street, Spring Boulevard, Pine Canyon Drive, Huckleberry Street, and South Ridge Drive, including nearby sidewalks. Roads may be reduced to one lane or temporarily closed, so expect some delays.
  • Construction for the 100 Year Wastewater Pipe Rehabilitation is taking place this week at several locations: E 4th Avenue (between High and Mill Street), W 7th Alley (east of Van Buren Street), W 6th Alley (west side of Blair Boulevard), and E 24th Avenue (between Willamette Street and Amazon Parkway). The north sidewalk on E 4th Avenue between High and Mill Street is closed today. A lane shift will happen on Van Buren Street between W 7th Avenue and W 8th Avenue at W 7th Alley on September 22, and another lane shift will happen on E 23rd Avenue between Willamette Street and Amazon Parkway today. Access to W 6th Alley between Van Buren Street and Blair Boulevard will be closed on September 23. Overall, the impact on traffic is low.
  • Construction crews are working on Patterson Street between E 18th Avenue and E 24th Avenue this week. They are removing old road markings and installing new ones. Traffic will be limited to one lane on the side opposite the work area.
