Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region
- Long-term projects: – Construction is happening near the corners of 18th and Hilyard Street this week. Lanes may be reduced to one, so expect some delays. Watch for construction workers, equipment, and follow signs and cones. Pedestrians should use detours around closed ramps, with workers available to help.
– Construction near the shoulders of Willamette Street and 52nd Avenue is causing moderate delays this week. Heavy equipment will be moving in and out. The Ridgeline Trail access from the southwest corner of West 52nd Avenue and South Willamette Street, and the Ridgeline Trail parking west of South Willamette Street, are closed.
– From Monday, June 22 to Friday, June 26, construction is happening at W 30th Ave and Portland St for a new retirement community. Parking is closed on the west side of Portland St from W 30th Ave to W 29th Pl, and parts of the parking north of W 29th Pl to W 28th Ave. Pedestrians cannot use the west side of Portland St between W 30th Ave and W 29th Pl, but can cross at the northwest corner of W 30th Ave and Portland St to use a temporary ramp and sidewalk on the east side. Pedestrians on W 30th Ave west of Portland St should use the temporary path on the north side of W 30th Ave to reach Portland St. Watch for large trucks and construction equipment.
