Community crime report

  • A person was arrested after a dispute near 2746 Capital Dr, Eugene at 11 p.m. on July 23.
     
  • A theft arrest happened near 1695 W 18th Ave., Eugene at 9 p.m. on July 22.
     
  • A dispute was reported near 655 W 24th Ave., Eugene at 4 a.m. on July 23.
     
  • A report was taken about a suspicious situation near 185 E 18th Ave., Eugene at 1 a.m. on July 23.
     
  • A report was taken about someone leaving without permission near 3695 E Amazon Dr, Eugene at 7 p.m. on July 23.
     

Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • Long-term projects: – Construction is happening near 18th and Hilyard Street this week. Expect some delays and possible lane reductions to a single lane. Pedestrians and bicyclists should follow detours and watch for construction signs.
  • Construction near the shoulders of Willamette Street and 52nd Avenue is causing major delays this week. Heavy equipment will be moving in and out of the area. Access to the Ridgeline Trail from the southwest corner of West 52nd Avenue and South Willamette Street, and the Ridgeline Trail parking west of South Willamette Street, will be closed as needed.
  • From Monday through today, parking is closed on the west side of Portland Street between W 30th Avenue and W 29th Place, and parts of the parking area north of W 29th Place to W 28th Avenue. The west side sidewalk of Portland Street between W 30th Avenue and W 29th Place is also closed. Pedestrians should use the temporary ramp and sidewalk on the east side of Portland Street.
  • Paving work is happening at the cul-de-sac on McLean Blvd between Graham Dr and McKendrick Blvd starting this week. McLean Blvd is closed to through traffic from Graham Dr to the cul-de-sac between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., but residents can still get in. Two detours are set up: one reroutes traffic before Graham Dr via Lasater, Randy, and 29th streets, and the other detours Graham Dr to Chambers St via 28th St.
  • Construction is taking place this week on Vine Maple Street, Spring Boulevard, Pine Canyon Drive, Huckleberry Street, and South Ridge Drive, including nearby sidewalks. Expect possible delays, lane reductions, or short-term road closures.
  • Paving work is happening this week on Hilyard Street between 40th and 34th Avenue, the Friendly Street and 18th Avenue area, 24th Avenue from Hilyard to Agate, and Alder Street from 30th to 32nd Avenue. The impact on traffic is expected to be low.
