As we teeter on the edge of a potentially scary wildfire season, Ben Botkin has a rundown of how Lane County residents can sign up for official alerts and otherwise be prepared in case of emergency. More than 25,000 people in Lane County have an active permit to carry a concealed weapon. Michael Zhang has created an interactive map to show how concealed carry permit data compares across Oregon’s 36 counties.
In an effort to comply with new federal regulations, Oregonโs Department of Human Services is reining in how often the state miscalculates the amount of food stamps enrollees should receive. Gov. Tina Kotek shared details Monday in this report from the Oregon Capital Chronicle.
