A three-vehicle collision Monday, June 15, shut down Highway 126 between Eugene and Veneta for about four hours, according to state police and the Oregon Department of Transportation.

The crash took place near Fisher Road, roughly 2 miles west of the Eugene city limits, at about 3:53 p.m., an ODOT spokesperson said.

The road was closed as of 4:15 p.m., according to ODOT, with no immediate update on when it would reopen. A spokesperson said Tuesday the road reopened at about 8 p.m.

ODOT advised a detour for westbound traffic of Green Hill Road to Clear Lake Road to Territorial Highway, back to Highway 126. The agency advised an eastbound detour of Territorial Highway to Clear Lake Road to Green Hill Road, back to Highway 126.

An Oregon State Police spokesperson said the crash possibly involved a fatality, with more information to be released Tuesday.Â
