Good evening,

The Eugene City Council voted to offer the city manager job to Jenny Haruyama, who has held that role in Beaverton for the past four years. The council chose Haruyama over two other finalists, one internal and one from Lake Oswego. The next step is negotiating a contract. Ben Botkin and Grace Chinowsky report.

Ducks quarterback Dante Moore went on ESPN today and announced that he will not jump to the NFL, but that he plans to play another year at the University of Oregon. Tyson Alger has the story.

If you have something to ask either of Oregon’s U.S. senators, both of them are planning town hall meetings in Lane County next week: Jeff Merkley will be in Springfield on Sunday, and Ron Wyden will be in Florence on Wednesday. Check the story for details.
