- Anyone remember that stink over town earlier this month? Lots of people from west Eugene to Thurston complained. Lane Regional Air Protection Agency launched an investigation and announced yesterday that it found … nothing: no culprit, no source. The mystery odor remains such.
- And then there’s the smog. A hot spell is raising the chance of unhealthy air pollution accumulating over the area this weekend, Lane Regional Air Protection Agency warns.
- A few local state lawmakers are planning a town hall meeting in Springfield tomorrow, if you’d like to participate in your democracy. You can even RSVP or submit a question ahead of time.
- The Oregon Appeals Court has overturned the murder conviction of a Eugene man who has been serving a life sentence related to a 2023 shooting at the Fat Shack near the UO campus. No word yet on whether the Lane County district attorney will retry him.
