Restaurant inspections
County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports both those who have passed the inspections and those where the county observed issues to correct. The county’s full ongoing reports can be accessed here.
- Maynila at 130 S 32nd St., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on February 18. The restaurant scored 95 out of 100. The inspector found boiled pork belly left out too long without proper temperature control, which was discarded and will now be cured in the refrigerator. Two containers of salt and sugar were unlabeled and must be clearly marked. Some scoops had handles touching the food and must be stored with handles above the food. There was residue buildup under and behind the stove that needs more frequent cleaning. Lastly, a hole in the kitchen ceiling above the refrigerator must be repaired to maintain good facility conditions. (view report)
