Community crime report

• A burglary was reported near 1594 Lincoln St., Eugene at 6 p.m. on Sept. 24.
   
• A burglary was reported near 1343 Mill St., Eugene at 5 p.m. on Sept. 24.
   
• An assault happened near 689 W 13th Ave., Eugene at 3 p.m. on Sept. 24. The person involved was given a citation instead of being taken into custody.
   
• A person was arrested after a dispute near 1676 W Broadway, Eugene at 3 a.m. on Sept. 24.

Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

• Long-term projects: – Adams Street is partially closed between W 6th Avenue and W 5th Avenue on the west side, and from W 5th Alley north on the east side. W 5th Alley is closed between Monroe Street and Adams Street. Pedestrian access is closed on the east side of Adams Street at W 5th Alley and on the south side of W 5th Avenue from Adams Street toward Monroe Street. Pedestrians heading west on the south side of W 5th Avenue should use the north side at Monroe Street. The eastbound bike lane on W 5th Avenue near Adams Street is closed; bicyclists should detour north on Adams Street to W 4th Avenue, then east to Monroe Street, and south back to W 5th Avenue.
• Construction is happening near the corners of 18th and Hilyard Street during the week of September 21. Expect delays and possible lane reductions to a single lane.
• Night construction on Broadway at Patterson is happening from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. during the week of September 21. On Sunday night, crews will dig up the western half of Patterson at Broadway, and on Monday morning, they will pour concrete for a raised crosswalk on the east side of Patterson. Patterson is closed to trucks, buses, and other large vehicles at Broadway, and these vehicles must detour at Alder Street. This closure will last at least two weeks. The right lane on Broadway will stay closed, with the closure moving east to start at Ferry Lane. Only one lane will be open from Ferry Lane to Patterson Street, and crews will use the center lane of eastbound traffic.
• Crews are working on Patterson Street between E 18th Ave and E 24th Ave during the week of September 21. They are removing old road markings and starting to install new ones. Traffic is limited to one lane on the side opposite the work area.
• Chambers Street is closed between Roosevelt Boulevard and West 2nd Avenue for road repairs on Thursday, September 24, and today, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Signs and barricades are in place. Expect delays of up to 20 minutes.
