Lookout Eugene-Springfield is ready for this yearโs election season.
This April, Lookout is inviting you to two free, public election forums focused on the Lane County Commission and Eugene City Council races. They are part of Lookoutโs commitment to provide community members a chance to engage with candidates, hear their priorities, and better understand the decisions shaping our region.
Lookout journalists โ those who cover and know the politics and policy debates of the moment โ moderate these debates, and get a conversation going among the candidates, allowing for deeper understanding of the candidatesโ ability to serve.
Both forums are open to the public, with advance RSVPs required due to limited space. For those who canโt attend in person, the forums will also be livestreamed on Lookoutโs Facebook page, ensuring broader access for voters across Lane County.ย
Each event will feature candidate conversations moderated by Lookout journalists, with a focus on clear, fact-based discussion. Every candidate in each race has been invited, reflecting our commitment to comprehensive and nonpartisan local election coverage. You can submit your question for a candidate prior to the forums, and follow along with all of our election coverage, found here on the Lookout site.
Lookout is able to make all our election coverage free as a public service because of our great members and their support. Not only do they receive full access to everything Lookout creates. Their membership dollars pay our journalists to do all their important work.
