QuickTake:
Lookout Eugene-Springfield will host two election forums, April 13 and April 15 for candidates for the Lane County Board of County Commissioners and Eugene City Council.
Recently, I wrote about our coverage plans for the 2026 elections, including a complete look at all the races and measures on the ballot.
Lookout makes all election coverage free to everyone. We can do this thanks to our members, whose support allows us to do it. Every membership helps build our local democracy, so if you are not a member, now is a great time to join and support nonpartisan, independent journalism in Lane County.
In addition to stories, profiles and explainers, we are holding two candidate forums in April so you can hear directly from candidates for the Lane County Board of County Commissioners and the Eugene City Council. In the Lookout forums, our journalists ask the questions and moderate the conversation among the candidates. The goal: to get beyond the talking points. Lookout correspondents Ben Botkin and Grace Chinowsky, as well as Opinion Editor Elon Glucklich, will lead the forums.
We have invited every candidate and expect all to attend.
Do you have a question you would like to have discussed at the forum? Please use the form below to submit your question. We will review and incorporate as many as possible into the sessions.
