In response to congressional candidate Monique DeSpain’s guest column about homelessness, people who disagree with, and block, funding for providing the services that people exiting homelessness need to help them recover, and then declare “housing first” a failure for not providing those same services, shouldn’t be talking about how they want to spend our tax money, in my opinion.

And then there’s the undeniable link between high rents, low wages and homelessness. Don’t get me started on that.
