I agree with the sentiment of the recent letter to the editor in Lookout Eugene-Springfield by Hal Huestis comparing the president to Narcissus, the figure from Greek mythology.

I am reminded of another cautionary tale from the more recent past, Molière’s “The Misanthrope,” about aristocrats and their proclivity to address every front with lawsuits, countersuits and appeals. Sound familiar?
