It’s not easy to understand Eugene’s budget. I know that John Barofsky does!

He served seven years on Eugene’s Budget Committee. It’s not uncommon for a city staff person to ask Barofsky to explain a budget question. Plus, he’s quick to point out that governments (city, county or school district) should not use one-time money for ongoing expenses.  

You can count on Barofsky to ask tough questions and make sure your tax dollars are wisely spent.

It probably helps that he has owned and operated an iconic Eugene business for more than 28 years and really knows how laws can impact the community in unexpected ways.
