Our names are Sienna and Inara Hove, and we have been going to the Eugene Public Library since we were born. Our Grandma Memo took us to storytime almost every week. We may not remember all of those early visits, but we do remember how the library has always made us feel — happy, welcome and excited to read.
We love going to the library. Sometimes we go to pick out books to read at home, check out books on CDs to listen to at home, and other times we go to monthly activities. The ones we liked the most so far were making a blanket and dissecting owl pellets.
The library is important to us because, as Sienna says, it’s “a good place to be,” and for Inara, “You can just sit there and read.”
Please support the library levy so kids like us can keep reading and going to the library.
