I loved Bob Welch’s article on downtown Springfield and the people behind the transformation. I moved here in 1979 and love this area. But it’s terribly sad to see Eugene in such disgrace.

Let’s face it, part of that transformation is because Springfield had the guts to enforce no camping so the homeless moved over to Eugene. I would love to see the same thing happen here, even if that does sound heartless.

I used to go to downtown Eugene all the time back when Bon Marche was there. I miss that.
