Will Yurman moved to Florence in 2022 with his wife, Meg, dogs Buster and Fezzik, and cat Freddie. He spent many years as a daily journalist at a newspaper on the east coast. He has lived and worked overseas and for more than a decade taught journalism – first at Penn State and now at the University of Oregon. WestoftheTunnel.org is a place where he tells the stories of the people in the area. It grew from his curiosity about who lives there and the stories not often told, or the reasons behind the stories we think we understand.
