Community crime report

  • A car crash with injuries was reported near Amazon Parkway and East 27th Avenue in Eugene at 11 a.m. on July 25.
     
  • Police arrested someone after a dispute near Lincoln St. and W 19th Ave. in Eugene. The incident happened at 2 a.m. on July 25.
     
  • A theft from a vehicle was reported near 1993 Jefferson St., Eugene at 8 a.m. on July 26.
     
  • A report was taken about a suspicious situation near 392 W 17th Ave., Eugene at 9 a.m. on July 26.
     
  • A report about an unknown motor vehicle incident was taken near E 46th Ave. and Fox Hollow Rd in Eugene at 6 p.m. on July 26.
     

Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • Long-term projects: Here are the summaries in plain language: – Construction is happening near 18th and Hilyard Street this week. Expect some delays and possible lane reductions to one lane. Watch for construction signs and cones. Pedestrians and bicyclists should follow detours. –
  • Construction near Willamette Street and 52nd Avenue is causing major delays this week. Heavy equipment will be moving in and out, and access to the Ridgeline Trail and its parking lot near South Willamette Street may be closed as needed.
  • From Monday, July 20 to Friday, July 24, parking is closed on the west side of Portland Street between W 30th Avenue and W 29th Place, and some parking north of W 29th Place to W 28th Avenue. The west sidewalk of Portland Street between W 30th Avenue and W 29th Place is closed to pedestrians, who should use the east side instead.
  • Starting this week, McLean Blvd will be closed to through traffic from Graham Dr to the cul-de-sac between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Residents can still get in and out. Detours are set up using Lasater, Randy, and 29th streets, and another detour routes Graham Dr to Chambers St via 28th St.
  • Construction is happening this week on Vine Maple Street, Spring Boulevard, Pine Canyon Drive, Huckleberry Street, and South Ridge Drive, including sidewalks. Expect possible delays, lane reductions, or short-term closures.
  • Paving work is happening this week on Hilyard Street between 40th and 34th Avenue, the Friendly Street and 18th Avenue area, 24th Avenue from Hilyard to Agate, and Alder Street between 30th and 32nd. Traffic impact is expected to be low.
