QuickTake:

The Ducks and Beavers are in the same regional for the first time in history.

Now that’s a regional.

Sure, the Oregon Ducks ended Sunday disappointed with their 11-inning loss to UCLA in the Big Ten Championship game, but the baseball team was back in fiery spirits Monday with the release of the NCAA baseball postseason bracket.

Spoiler: The Ducks are hosting — and the guest list is loaded.

The Ducks earned the No. 11 overall seed in the tournament and will host a regional round at PK Park for the second consecutive year and fifth time in the last 15 years.

They’ll host Washington State (43-12), Yale (39-13-1) and Oregon State (43-12).

The Beavers were hopeful to host their own regional, but were ultimately sent 40 miles south to Eugene. It’s the first time in history that the Ducks and Beavers have been paired in the same regional.

Oregon begins the regional on Friday by hosting Yale and could be set to face Oregon State on Saturday night in what could be one of the most anticipated games in PK Park history.

The Ducks will be looking to advance past the regional round for the first time since 2024 in hopes of eventually reaching the College World Series for the first time since the program was reinstated in 2009. The Beavers, meanwhile, are beginning what they hope will be the road to their ninth trip to Omaha.

Lookout will have full coverage throughout the weekend.
