Willamalane Park and Recreation District’s Budget Committee will meet on Tuesday, June 16, to review the district’s fiscal year 2026-27 budget and hear public comments.

The meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. at the Bob Keefer Center, 250 32nd St., and virtually via Microsoft Teams, district leaders said in a news release. The committee will meet again on June 17 at 5:30 p.m. only if more time is needed to discuss the budget.

The Willamalane Board of Directors will meet on June 24 for budget adoption.

The district initially scheduled the meeting for May 26 but postponed it because May 19 election results for its proposed levy were too close to call.

The latest vote tallies show the five-year local option levy is passing, 51.41% to 48.59%. Early results showed the levy narrowly failing.

The levy is intended to help the district maintain current service levels and programs as costs outpace the district’s revenue growth.
