The University of Oregon men’s track & field team won the Big 10 Outdoor Track & Field Championships, scoring 110 points, well ahead of runners-up Wisconsin and Minnesota, tied for second with 81. The Ducks had individual wins by Simeon Birnbaum in the 5,000 meters and Benjamin Balazs in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Birnbaum also took third in the 1500 meters. Five distance runners also scored a combined 23 points in the 10,000 meters on Friday night, with the Ducks finishing second, third, fourth, sixth and eighth.

On the women’s side, the University of Southern California won the team title, with 121 points. Oregon took second, with 113 points, well clear of UCLA in third, with 84. Diana Cherotich won the 10,000 meters on Friday night in a conference meet record time (32:00.48). Silan Ayyildiz won the 5,000 meters, and took second in the 1500, and Klaudia Kazimierska won the 800 meters. Aaliyah McCormick won the 100-meter hurdles, and Ryann Porter won the triple jump.
