Restaurant inspections

County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports both those who have passed the inspections and those where the county observed issues to correct. The county’s full ongoing reports can be accessed here.

  • Burrito Amigos #42 at 201 42nd St., passed a county health inspection on January 26 with no issues. (view report)

  • Subway Wal-mart #38884 at 2659 Olympic St., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on January 26. The restaurant scored 92 out of 100. During the inspection, soap was missing at a handwashing sink but was added immediately. A knife was not properly sanitized before reuse; staff were reminded to sanitize utensils for at least 30 seconds. Some handwashing sinks had debris and needed better cleaning. Areas like the mop sink, storage shelves, and soda fountain drain had residue and require more frequent cleaning. Holes in the wall near the warewashing area need repair to ensure surfaces are smooth and cleanable. Lighting in the walk-in refrigerator and freezer was too dim and must be increased to meet standards. (view report)
