Restaurant inspections

County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports both those who have passed the inspections and those where the county observed issues to correct. The county’s full ongoing reports can be accessed here.

  • Cafe Agora Springfield at 4425 Main St., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on May 21. The restaurant scored 86 out of 100. The inspector found that the water supply hose was not confirmed as safe for drinking water but was replaced with a proper food-grade hose. The restaurant lacked a functional thermometer to check food temperatures, which remains unresolved and needs immediate correction. Additionally, there was no test kit to measure sanitizer strength, but the restaurant obtained chlorine sanitizer test strips during the inspection. Overall, the restaurant addressed the hose and sanitizer issues but still needs to provide a working thermometer for food safety. (view report)
