• Amore Italian Bakery & Bistro at 2108 Main St., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on November 20. The restaurant received a score of 94 out of 100. The inspector found that a handwashing sink in the kitchen was blocked by dishes and a pot with eggs, making it inaccessible for employees to wash their hands. The restaurant was required to keep the sink clear and use it only for handwashing. The staff promptly removed the items and cleaned the sink, correcting the issue during the inspection. • Starbucks Coffee #2976 at 1499 Mohawk Blvd., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on November 25. The restaurant scored 97 out of 100. Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

• Long-term projects: Southbound Laura Street in Springfield is closed to through traffic between mileposts .120 and .339 for construction work, including utility and storm system upgrades, sidewalks, and paving. The closure started June 16 and will last until about December 31. Access from Lindale Drive to Laura Street is also closed.
