Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • Long-term projects: – Prairie Road will be closed this week for construction at the Hwy 99 and Prairie Road intersection. Crews are building sidewalks, adding road striping, and working on landscaping and stormwater systems near Maxwell Road. Use Irving Road, Beltline, or Chambers Road as detours.
  • This week, crews are finishing electrical and lighting work at the Prairie Mountain School Crossing. Large trucks and construction equipment will be in the area, and traffic cones and signs will be in place.
  • Starting this week, Crow Road is closed between La Porte and Highway 126 (W 11th) for utility work, including wastewater pipeline excavation. Work is near the Crow Road and Highway 126 intersection and will continue west. You can still access La Porte through Greenhill Road. Expect delays due to slow progress from deep excavation and bedrock.
