Roadwork is affecting traffic near you
- Long-term projects: Prairie Road is closed to all traffic between Highway 99 and Maxwell Road from August 17 to around October 5 for construction to replace the railroad crossing and rebuild part of the intersection. Use Irving Road, Beltline, or Chambers Road as detours.
- Construction at the Prairie Mountain School Crossing will continue this week. Crews are finishing electrical and lighting work and may start final touch-ups. Expect large trucks, equipment, and workers in the area, with cones and signs guiding traffic.
- Starting this week, Crow Road will be closed between La Porte and Highway 126 (W 11th) for deep utility work on wastewater pipelines. Access to La Porte is only available through Greenhill Road. The work involves digging nearly 30 feet deep through bedrock. Expect delays and use alternate routes.
